Reiki, (Rei, meaning Spiritual Wisdom, and Ki meaning Life-Force Energy) is a spiritual technology and healing modality used since ancient times. Known as Sehkem in ancient Egypt, Reiki was rediscovered by Sensei Mikao Usui in 1922 after his rigorous spiritual practice almost cost him his Life. His commitment rewarded him with this system which teaches the laws of energy itself. Following a comprehensive class on these laws, practitioners are guided through a process known as an Attunement to then be able to utilize this healing modality by working with source energy in order to heal the energetic, mental, emotional, and psychic fields of the client receiving. It is said that all physical dis-ease is first born in the energy field before it manifests physically. The client is able to ask questions and make specific requests before entering a meditative state to receive the healing. The session concludes with a brief intuitive reading, as when working in the client’s energy field, the practitioner will naturally pick up on certain bits of and observation and advice, that can be expounded upon to further assist the client in their healing and growth.
